Enterprise Architect

Blutic is looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect with 15+ yrs experience as a strategic leader responsible for aligning business and information systems strategies to achieve enterprise goals such as revenue growth, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and sustainability. This role guides executives, product teams, and delivery units through transformation and optimization initiatives, helping shape and execute business and technology strategies across various operating models. 

A deep expertise in Business Architecture and Solution/Application Architecture is required.  Experience with Data Architecture is a nice to have.

This is a 100% remote opportunity with 6 months project engagement with possibility of extension. The candidate should be willing to work in the Pacific time zone.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Develop and connect business and IS strategies.
  • Lead business model innovation, architecture governance, and strategic technology planning.
  • Build and evolve Enterprise Architecture (EA) services and capabilities.
  • Influence business leaders and ensure architecture drives measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Business Alignment
    • Collaborate with business and IS leadership to develop strategy and architecture aligned with market and technology trends.
    • Evaluate disruptive forces and emerging technologies; provide scenario planning and readiness assessments.
    • Translate strategic intent into actionable roadmaps for execution across business and technology domains.
  • Enterprise Architecture Development
    • Lead development and maintenance of enterprise-wide architecture frameworks, including business, solution/application, data, and technology architectures.
    • Establish EA governance and standards for architecture design, delivery, and compliance.
    • Drive consistency through architecture templates, documentation, tooling, and standards.
  • Solution & Application Architecture
    • Collaborate with Solution Architects and Engineering teams to design and guide the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing application solutions.
    • Serve as a key consultant in architectural reviews and evaluations, including vendor and technology assessments.
    • Provide guardrails and guidance to delivery teams using minimum viable architecture (MVA) principles.
  • Business Architecture
    • Lead analysis and modeling of current and future-state business capabilities, value streams, and operating models.
    • Support application rationalization and capability maturity assessments.
    • Manage enterprise business capability models and link to technology investments and innovation portfolios.
  • Collaboration & Relationship Management
    • Build strong partnerships with business and IS stakeholders; serve as a trusted advisor on architecture matters.
    • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across product management, delivery, security, operations, and infrastructure.
    • Promote the EA practice as a value-added internal consultancy.
  • Innovation & Emerging Technology
    • Identify and assess trends, innovations, and disruptions (technology and non-technology) with potential enterprise impact.
    • Lead pilots for innovative technologies and integrate successful solutions into enterprise operations.
    • Advise leadership on technology-enabled competitive threats and opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, strategic planning, or business/IS consulting.
    • Proven experience across at least three disciplines (e.g., application, data, infrastructure, business analysis).
  • Technical & Strategic Skills
    • Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate), modeling tools, and best practices.
    • Understanding of cloud, microservices, APIs, SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, SOA, and integration patterns.
    • Familiarity with healthcare insurance technology and regulatory environment preferred.
    • Strong understanding of enterprise business models, financial modeling, and risk management.
