Technical Project Manager/ Scrum Master

MBI Digital is looking for a Technical Project Manager/Scrum Master’s whose chief responsibility is to manage development sprints effectively and efficiently from planning to execution in a hybrid agile/waterfall development environment. This role will include running daily scrums, assisting in managing the product backlog, and removing impediments to keep the team moving. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, demonstrate strong leadership abilities and have the desire to be part of a fast-paced program.

This is a 100% remote opportunity, with a 6-18 months project engagement. The candidate should be willing to work in the Pacific time zone.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead iteration execution by facilitating team events (backlog refinement, iteration planning, daily stand up, team review and demo, retrospective)
  • Protects the team from uncontrolled injection of work (changes are evaluated/intentional)
  • Manage cross team/program dependencies between our business, release management, third party development/QA and other scrum teams
  • Proactively identify and eliminate impediments and facilitate flow
  • Work with the team leads to resolve problems and project roadblocks
  • Maintain team data in project management software (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) to support execution
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with management and stakeholders
  • Contributes to high level project reports for senior management
  • Supports product owner(s) with intra-team dynamics with respect to priorities and scope
  • Assists with release readiness and production deployments

 

Qualifications:

  • Scaled Agile (SAFe) Certification desired
  • Experience using Agile Tracking tools (JIRA, Confluence etc.)
  • Executive level communications and ability to synthesize information required
  • Ability to influence decision-making beyond area of responsibility
  • Experience leading teams in both hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments to fully developed Scrum teams
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, open to change, working in a fast-paced and fluid environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strategic, critical thinker
  • Cloud experience preferred
  • Data and analytics reporting experience preferred
