IAM Business Analyst

MBI Digital is looking for an experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our client to assist them in utilizing their SailPoint IdentityIQ environment more effectively. You will be responsible for documentation, analysis, and reporting, as well as facilitating the redesign of the business processes within their current IAM environment. Your overall objective will be to support the assessment of the client's current environment, identify gaps, prepare a high-level plan for redesigning the solution, and coordinate efforts across the client and engagement team, which includes a Senior Architect and Engineering Team.

This is a remote opportunity and candidate should be based in the US. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the client to understand their business requirements and existing IAM processes.
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the client's current IAM environment, including identity lifecycle management, access provisioning and deprovisioning, and role-based access controls (RBAC).
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within the client's IAM solution.
  • Prepare detailed documentation, such as business process flows, use cases, and requirements specifications.
  • Analyze data and generate reports to provide insights into IAM performance, user access patterns, and compliance.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements and obtain their feedback on proposed solutions.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Architect and Engineering Team to develop a high-level plan for redesigning the client's IAM solution.
  • Assist in defining new business processes, access control policies, and user provisioning workflows to improve the client's IAM capabilities.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the successful integration and implementation of the redesigned IAM solution.
  • Support change management activities by providing training and documentation to end-users on the new IAM processes and workflows.
  • Monitor the implementation progress, track milestones, and report project status to the client and engagement team.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices throughout the IAM redesign process.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the field of Identity and Access Management.
  • Familiarity with SailPoint IdentityIQ and its features, functionalities, and configurations.
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts, principles, and industry best practices.
  • Experience in business process analysis, documentation, and redesign.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, SQL, or BI platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and coordinate efforts across multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks, such as GDPR or SOX, is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in IAM or Business Analysis, such as Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM) or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), are desirable.
