IT and Infrastructure Support Specialist

MBI Digital is looking for an IT and Infrastructure Support Specialist with 5+ yrs experience in IT Support and Infrastructure. 

This is a remote opportunity however candidate should be based within 1 hour of the City of Philadelphia and King of Prussia, PA to be able to visit our onsite data centers as needed and be willing to work nights / weekends / on call as needed.

This position requires someone who is physically strong to rack and unrack servers, work in the data center etc. 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Technical Support & Help Desk: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for employees while maintaining help desk tickets.
  • Data Center Operations: Perform implementation, migration, and deployment associated with data centers
  • Network & System Maintenance: Update, maintain, and monitor computer networks, including Cisco VPN, BMC BEM, and License Management.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Manage Arcserve backups for SQL databases, physical and virtual servers (administer updates, recovery, and job maintenance).
  • Cybersecurity Practices: Implement proactive security measures, including virus protection, phishing awareness and access control management
  • IT Onboarding: Set up laptops, emails, Active Directory, and remote office configurations for new employees and contractors.
  • Documentation & SOPs: Create standard operating procedures for installations and configurations on the internal Wiki, Jira, and Intranet.
  • VMware Infrastructure Management: Deploy, manage, and maintain VMware infrastructure and virtualize physical servers using VMware and Arcserve Backup.

 

Nice to have skills

  • Experience in system and network monitoring, deploying monitoring tools, configuring collectors and thresholds, and optimizing solutions for performance and security.
  • Experience with automation and scripting for monitoring and infrastructure management using tools like PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
  • Knowledge or experience with audit processes, including SOC 2 Compliance, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements.
  • Having knowledge of ITSM and experience working in ITIL projects
