Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist with client communication
• Analyze and escalate incoming tickets and alerts
• Perform on-going server monitoring within BMC Patrol, our third-party monitoring tool
• Utilize our internal ticketing system, to create, monitor, and update tickets
• Complete low level administrator tasks
• Create technical documentation & assist with operational process improvement
• Complete online training courses on relevant technologies used within our organization

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Familiarity with Linux/Unix and/or Windows Server Administration
• Familiarity with one or more of the following RDBMS – SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, MySQL
• Excellent customer service and strong written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task effectively
• High attention to detail
• Ability and curiosity to learn a full range of technology platforms and data network systems as well as apply new skills rapidly
• >1 year of experience in a technological field; internships or school IT departments count
• An interest in emerging technologies

Other Qualifications

• Complete required screenings and background checks for client work
• Ability to work monthly rotating shifts including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to sit and work at a computer for up to 8 hours with occasional breaks
• Working remotely but still working as a team
• Dexterity of hands and fingers (or skill with adaptive devices) to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computing equipment
• Ability to spend long hours in intense concentration
• Ability to complete tasks within tight deadlines
